Spring 2021 Registration Open

Northridge Little League Fans & Families,

Cheers to the last day of 2020!  Sending you some reminders, as well as some new information. Hoping this email finds you all well, and ready for a 2021 with Northridge Little League Baseball!

Spring 2021 Registration for Northridge Little League is open.  All information is available on our website, www.northridgebaseball.com, or on the attached flyer.  All Divisions from Tee Ball through Seniors are currently open, as well as the return of our District-Wide Challenger Division! Challenger Division is an adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.  If you have any questions regarding how to navigate the website or registration page, please contact Eli Thompson, NRLL Webmaster, at [email protected].  If you have any questions about which Division to sign up for, or any School or Residency Boundaries questions, please contact Heidi Crespo or Kari Hill, NRLL Player Agents, at [email protected]Based on the financial losses that we have experienced from no Spring 2020 season, and proposed figures for this year, NRLL cannot afford to credit registration fees for future seasons.  I know how hard these times are for everyone, and if you have any financial questions or concerns, you can email me, or reach out to Jacqueline Frees, NRLL Treasurer, at treasurer@northridgebaseball.com.

Original Plans for NRLL for December and January were to host player clinics, manager training, in-person registration events, Tryouts for Minor Division and above, and Drafts and Team Assignments.  As it stands right now, at this time NRLL is not permitted to host congregated events at Brooktree Park (although the park is definitely still open for any public use, and I encourage you to get out there as often as possible. The weather has been good, and the fields are still in great shape).  We are expecting to determine after January 4th, whether we will need to postpone any of these events to later dates, possibly until after January 25th. Even if this occurs, we will still have plenty of time to get everything done. While we simply do not know what the future holds, we are all hoping to be able to hold a full season of baseball.  We will continue to be bound by Sunrise Recreation and Park District and Sacramento County as to Safety Protocols, but we are confident that we will, to the extent allowed, provide amazing value for your financial investment.  Will games start in March?  Will it be practices only, to start?  Will we have enough players register to have full teams for all Divisions? It's still a little too soon to tell.  But I hope that I have your faith that we will do our very best.  It is a very difficult predicament to continue to be in; but I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing, figuring out what we CAN DO for our kids, for our NRLL baseball, for our community.

Finally, we are still accepting interest for Managers, and we are always accepting Sponsorships.  If you are interested, or have a lead for us, please reach out as soon as possible!  Thank you always, for your support of Northridge Little League. You can also keep up with upcoming events on Facebook, at Northridge Little League - Citrus Heights (www.facebook.com/NRLL.citrusheights/).

Yours in baseball everyday,

Kat
